BTL Buildings was founded in 2023 by Brian Glisson in Wilmington, NC with a straightforward goal: be the Cape Fear region's most reliable contractor for shops, garages, and commercial buildings — and combine that with active real estate investment in the same market.
After watching too many property owners get burned by contractors who ghost, overcharge, and underdeliver, we built a model around accountability. The $250 paid estimate isn't just a fee — it's the first test of whether both parties are serious. Every client who has gone through that process with us has gotten exactly what we promised.
On the real estate side, we're active buyers and investors in the Wilmington-Cape Fear market. We buy houses from motivated sellers, purchase land for development, and partner with investors on spec builds and rentals. We're not a wholesaler or a call center — we're a local company making real decisions with our own capital.
